NEW DELHI: The open endorsement of the accused in the Ramgarh lynching by Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation Jayant Sinha has invited strong condemnation from retired senior civil servants who have demanded he resign or be removed for contempt of the rule of law and the Constitution of India. In a strongly worded statement a group of retired bureacurats who have held responsible positions in government have also asked the party he represents, that is the Bharatiya Janata Party to apologise for his action to the people of India.

Sinha had welcomed with sweets and garlands the eight accused in the lynching of Alimuddin a year ago by a cow mob.
