Relatives Meet Detained Political Leaders Amidst High Security

SRINAGAR: Relatives were allowed to meet the politicians detained by the government at the MLA hostel in Srinagar. The issue was raised in Parliament with members referring to the long over 100 detentions of political leaders, many of whom have been arrested under the Public Safety Act that does not allow easy bail. The trepidation was visible as the relatives arrived amidst high security, with many covering their faces.
