Belgium unexpectedly knocked Brazil out of the 2018 World Cup in the second quarter finals with the score of 2-1 moving to semifinals where it’ll be facing France.

Brazil has been eliminated by a European nation in each of the last four editions of World Cup now. FIFA World Cup 2018 is becoming an European Cup as the teams now left are all from this continent. This is the first time in the history of FIFA that the semi finals of the World Cup will be played without Brazil, Germany or Argentina.

This is the first time since 1966 Belgium has recorded a win against Brazil and the second time in the history, where Belgium will play in the semifinals after losing out to Argentina in 1986.
