NEW DELHI: In a bizarre turn of events the American owner of shooting range in Arkansas threw out Hindus from her declared ‘Muslim Free Zone” with the incident being reported widely but not challenged legally or for that matter politically.

A declared “Muslim free zone” to keep out “Muslims” finally turned out brown skinned Hindus as well with the American owners not caring to draw the distinction in the final analysis.

The news made the headlines in the American media when the father and son were turned away by the owner of the gun range in Hot Springs, Arkansas for being “Muslims.” They made it clear they were not but Jan Morgan, who owns the business, threatened to call the police if they did not leave immediately.

The ‘brown skinned’ student who took his father to the range was quoted by the media as saying, “when we went in, a woman asked, ‘Where are you guys from?’ We told her we were from Hot Springs. She said, “this is a Muslim free shooting range,” so if we are [Muslim] and if we don’t like the rule, then leave. We said that we’re not Muslim, but my dad asked, ‘Why is it Muslim free?’ and they started having a conversation. Then, all of a sudden, I don’t know what went wrong, but she stopped us from filling out the paperwork and said ‘I don’t think you guys should be here.’ She told us to leave or she’d call the cops on us.”

The big news that was relatively under reported globally at least, took place last September when Morgan declared her gun range as a Muslim free zone in what would be a clear violation of laws and rights in any other part of the world. Morgan banned Muslims from her establishment going by the name The Gun Cave on the grounds, “In the range, people are shooting guns in close proximity to each other, so my patrons depend on me and my discretion regarding who I allow to shoot beside them. One mistake in judgment on my part could cost innocent people their lives.

“Since I have no way of discerning which Muslims will or will not kill in the name of their religion and the commands in their [Koran], I choose to err on the side of caution for the safety of my patrons.”

This decision remained unchallenged by law or action clearly, with the father and son duo of Indian origin filling out the paperwork when they were suddenly told to leave. Morgan subsequently told reporters that despite the blatant discrimination against a religious community, her business is booming!
