NEW DELHI: Bangladesh was perhaps the first visit by Prime Minister Narendra Modi where he had to share the space with another leader from India. In this case West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee who arrived a few hours after the Prime Minister, but managed to get the eyeballs and the attention from not just the media but the Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina as well. Often PM Modi took the side seat as the Bangla speaking chief minister from India became the cynosure of all eyes in the neighbouring country.
