'You Don't Have to be Black to be Outraged': Protests Spread Across U.S.
Protests continue across the US
NEW DELHI: Protesters took to the streets in New York and other cities across the United States for a second night over the death of Eric Garner, who was killed in an apparent chokehold by a white New York police officer. The protests began Wednesday after a grand jury decided not to press charges and have continued since, with protesters drawing attention to issues of race and discrimination.
The protests follow similar protests over a grand jury’s decision to not indict a white police officer who shot to death an unarmed African American teen Michael Brown in Ferguson, St. Louis.
