NEW DELHI: “Today is the slave market day… Today is the day where this verse applies: ‘Except with their wives and the (captives) whom their right hands possess,- for (then) they are not to be blamed’... Today is distribution day God willing… Each one takes his share,” says a man believed to be an Islamic State (IS) fighter.

“I swear man I am searching for a girl I hope I find one… Today is the day of (female) slaves and we should have our share,” says another.

“The price differs if she has blue eyes,” says the militant negotiating the deal.

These statements are made in a video purportedly showing IS fighters discussing the buying and selling of Yazidi slave captives. The video has not been independently verified.

The group has slaughtered thousands on Yazidis -- a minority group -- on Mount Sinjar, kidnapping women as sex slaves. An article published in the group’s English language digital magazine “Dabiq” justified this kidnapping citing Islamic theology that is widely rejected by the Muslim world as a perversion of the teachings of Islam.

The article was titled “Revival Of Slavery Before The Hour” is reproduced in its entirety below:
