The thirteen day long farmers’ protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi, concluded on Monday, August 9, with a Mahila Sansad (women’s parliament). Over 200 women farmers were present, discussing the farm laws.

The event may mark the conclusion of this particular Kisan Sansad at Jantar Mantar, but farmers have vowed to continue with protests till the controversial laws are repealed. Farmer leaders have announced plans to carry out “Tiranga Rallies” across the country on Independence Day, August 15.
