In its 11 years, the festival has managed to create a niche for itself in the capital’s collegiate circle. Spandan was the first to hold a Sunburn On Campus with DJ Sartek and a footfall of 10,000 students. As a promotional cum charity endeavour, last year, Spandan also organized one of India's largest ALS ice bucket challenges at the college premises, with more than 800 students becoming a part of the movement.

Spandan 2015 will include myriad events like media interactions, film screenings, literary and cultural events, both competitive and noncompetitive, promising to be a media spectacle. This year “Cinephile”, the annual international film festival of VIPS and Spandan has been brought under the same umbrella, further magnifying the event’s charm.
