As the cold spell continues across Jammu and Kashmir, with Srinagar recording its coldest day since 1991 on Thursday, residents woke up to a frozen Dal Lake on Thursday. Srinagar touched minus 8.4 degrees celsius the previous night, the coldest temperature recorded in the city since 1991 when the mercury dipped to 11.8 degrees celsius.
BASIT ZARGAR sends these photos of the Dal Lake, frozen, as residents and tourists step onto the ice for walks and games.
