The Citizen as you know has completed a year, exciting, difficult, interesting and challenging. With scarce resources and just help from friends like you we managed to stay the course, remaining true to our commitment to remain independent and free.

We plan to spend the second year raising resources that are now crucial to our existence. Many of you have written through the year for us without a dime, and we can never pay back that debt. And have supported us with encouragement. But we do feel the need to pay some of the young reporters and contributors who have no monetary resources. And to expand our footprint as well.

For this we need help, and decided to turn back to you again for monetary contributions---any amount that works for you----until we can raise the finances that will allow us to remain free and independent, without passing control to funders.

It is confidential and completely safe.
