A Titanic Clash

The sight of Elon Musk leaving the White House with a black eye (purportedly caused by an asked -for punch in the face by his fave child X)was symbolic of his unceremonious exit from the White House with a political punch from the Don. Et tu Brute!

The public spat between Trump and Musk after their recent break up is the main conversation piece in the global chat rooms. Both are guilty of taking missteps to stay in the limelight to satiate their gargantuan appetite for power and visibility. The world is watching this serial soap opera with all the twists and turns in the plot with an edge of the seat thrill. More popcorn please to make it more delish!

The protagonists are putting in stellar performances and what a runaway success on every media platform. Merciless Memes are providing bellyful of laughs. Amongst many the one about Russia offering a peace deal and asylum to Musk ,(more attainable than one with Ukraine) and the other about Hamas being ready to broker a ceasefire between the two warring billionaires are hard hitting!

If truth be told, (Social truth doesn't count!) disruptor Donald and the chainsaw wielding Elon were bound to have a titanic clash of egos. From the days when Musk bankrolled Trump with a hefty $250 million largesse to his election fund, it was a win-win situation for both. Money and Power make a great combo. Donald with the zeal of an astronomer, praised Musk with the words "A new star is born"! Once Trump 2.0 was inaugurated Elon was dubbed as the "Co - President". POTUS and the tech-tycoon were inseparable.

But this short lived bromance has fallen apart as foretold by many. This divorce has birthed a new word in the process --- dude-vorce. Now the dirty linen is being washed in full public glare. A 'leakipedia' of information that Musk is privy to is being trickled on social media like maple syrup. Allegations of Trump's involvement in Jeffrey Epstein's salacious shenanigans are being aired on X and since deleted. From BFF to frenemies is a trajectory many alliances follow .

One is drunk on power and the other is on a ketamine high! Both believe that they are God's guerdon to be admired and cloned for the benefit of humanity. Both being power hungry with shades of Mephistopheles may realise that this break up will lead to mutually assured destruction. What it is doing to America and the world is another story.

The adversaries in the ring seem to be moderating their punches after the initial blow out. So after the kiss and tell lava that ‘Tusk’--- a portmanteau word for Trump and Musk --- spewed, a patch up could be in the offing. America beware!
