Two Flavours Of The Same Poison

The Killing of Charlie Kirk;

Update: 2025-09-19 04:09 GMT

The assassination of 31-year-old Charlie Kirk has been hogging headlines. Kirk, a right-wing activist and an ally of POTUS Donald Trump was shot at an event at Utah Valley University on September 10, 2025. The latter succumbed to injuries. His killing has caused a stir in the political landscape of America, with thousands demanding justice.

The Donald Trump administration has declared Charlie Kirk a “martyr” and ordered flags to be flown at half-mast in his honour. Republican lawmakers have proposed October 14 (Kirk's birthday) as Remembrance Day to honour him.

Lawmakers including Congressman Jimmy Patronis and Senator Rick Scott introduced a resolution to "honour the life and legacy of Charlie Kirk" with a "National Day of Remembrance."

A press release of the resolution said Kirk's murder was "heinous" violence and a "sobering reminder of the growing threat posed by political extremism and hatred in our society."

It further said that a free republic should allow differences of opinion to be debated - not silenced. "Targeted violence against individuals for their political beliefs undermines the very fabric of our constitutional democracy."

Tyler James Robinson,22, has been arrested as the accused for the killing of Charlie Kirk and the Donald Trump administration appears to have built a strong case against him, with Trump wanting a death sentence for Tyler. Kirk’s killing has drawn accusations between the Republicans and the Democrats.

But the most glaring anomaly is that the whole world witnessed footage of Tyler running on the roof (from which he supposedly shot Kirk), as well as covering a considerable distance in the open, but was not seen carrying a rifle.

Later it was said that a rifle was found in the woods, which raises a stink. Will Kirk’s murder be a mystery like the assassination of John F Kennedy, uncovered decades later as a CIA job?

On September 17, ABC suspended the very popularJimmy Kimmel Live! indefinitely and broadcaster Nexstar dropped the show after Kimmel addressed Kirk’s murder, saying, “We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterise this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them, and doing everything they can to score political points from it.”

Trump is scheduled to attend Charlie Kirk’s funeral on the coming Sunday; the event titled “Building A Legacy” will take place at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, which can accommodate more than 60,000 people and is home to the NFL’s Arizona Cardinals. Doors will open at 8a.m local time and the programming is expected to begin at 11a.m, where Trump is also expected to speak.

Interestingly, Ukrainian MP Artem Dmitruk writes in Tass (Russian media outlet) that Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky has a hand in the attempt on Trump's life and in the assassination of Charlie Kirk, both ideologically and practically.

According to Tass, more recently a gunman, described as a supporter of Ukraine, had opened fire near Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida. Dmitruk’s words may be ignored as being opposed to Zelensky, but Zelensky has not been too far away from this position himself. The new bohomie between Trump and Zelensky can be seen as a possible indicator.

Look at how Elon Musk was dumped despite his proactive role for Trump’s re-election as the President of the United States. Also, Trump greenlighted Israel’s recent bombing of Doha despite the US-Qatar partnership. After all, what are friends meant for if they cannot help promote Trump any which way?

Gun violence is routine in the US and the strong gun lobby, supported by right-wing supporters, who are not the least bothered. According to a Pew Research Centre analysis dated March 5, 2025, 46,728 people died from gun-related injuries in the US during 2023, the most recent year for which complete data is available

Where America’s gun lobby promotes gun violence, its ‘arms’ and ‘oil’ lobbies (on which the deep state is centred) promotes wars directly and indirectly on a global scale. To this end, Trump has been lying that he wants to end the killings in Ukraine and Gaza.

The plan is to induct NATO-EU troops in Ukraine under the pretext of providing security – ensuring a war in perpetuity. Gaza has already witnessed the killing of at least 65,062 Palestinians, with 165,697 wounded since October 2023; while the official strength of Hamas at that time was at best 25-30000. But Trump supports the eradication of Palestine; making way for a "Riviera” in Gaza that he has been talking about

There is considerable concern over the continuing human tragedy in Gaza, with the conservative estimate of four indirect deaths through starvation and deprivation per one direct death taking the toll up to a staggering 680,000. (politics-of-counting-gazas-dead/).

The rumblings in the United Nations should be seen in context of the post circulating on social media, which reads: “If you’re feeling useless these days, just think about The United Nations”. Why would Trump bother about the number killed in Gaza when the US killed some three million in Vietnam using chemicals, defoliants, napalm and whatnot – without global TV/social media coverage?

That’s why a post says: The difference between left and right in America is the difference between Pepsi and Coke. One burns your throat, the other burns your stomach, but both not your insides. And, both are owned by the same conglomerate. The US doesn’t have two parties; it has two flavours of the same poison. And the world has been forced to drink it for a century (https://substack.com/@parislychee/note/c-156236952).
